Step inside the Beach House in Puerto Pollensa

When you step inside the beach house in Puerto Pollensa, you will instantly feel the calming energy of this living space. This villa is nestled between the beach and the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. The Beach House is a holiday home available for rental that is designed for wellness, relaxation and tranquil days away from the hustle and bustle of the summer crowds.

Samantha Knight, Paul Robinson and NB Architects in Palma interpreted the brief for an Ibiza style villa, carefully planning its space to maintain a carefree flow. Rustic materials were sourced from Mallorca with interesting textures being implemented to layer an otherwise simple canvas. Originally from London, Samantha was very careful with her sourcebook and chose to work with local artisans to design the original key furnishings.

Blending interior & exterior

One of the highlights of this property is the seamless blend of the interior and exterior. The large bi-fold doors in the living space open directly onto a pergola with a step down into the garden. Fragrant lemon trees, banana leaf trees and vibrant bougainvillea decorate it. In the garden centre you will also find a tranquil Indonesian-inspired pool. It was carefully finished in jade green tiles to give the impression you are looking into a natural water source.

Effortlessly beautiful

The pergola is a space which transitions effortlessly from day to evening entertaining. It features an oversized bespoke table crafted from recycled Obra wood by Conalma Design on the island. You also find hand-crafted wicker chairs sourced from an independent retailer in Palma. Furthermore, there is a hat rack made from aged olive wood and which now hangs beach towels, rattan baskets and sun hats.

Paul Robinson and his team carefully implemented contemporary lighting into the bamboo ceilings. A great contrast against the rustic furnishings and to ensure ambient lighting for long summer evenings could be experienced in the home.

The house is virtually unrecognisable now from its past, when it was an abandoned holiday home. As soon as you step out of your car and on to the ethereal white driveway, catching sight of the garden oasis and pergola setting, you know you are somewhere special.
